Health / Infection Prevention In The Health Sector

New air and surface purification technology with Free-Air Factor. Ideal for preventing nosocomial infections in the healthcare field.

The prevention of infections in healthcare environments is a concerning issue and a focus of attention in the sector. At the moment, the administration only knew about conventional HEPA filters, but reality has shown that they do not work in an environment with constant circulation and the possibility of contacts between carriers of pathogens that contaminate the environment and surfaces. Waiting rooms in any healthcare center are a good example. Disinfection and cleaning are carried out thoroughly once a day, but they do not prevent transmission among daily users. There are highly contagious diseases that can be transmitted simply by contact with the same surface or by proximity.

For hygiene and infection prevention reasons, it would be ideal for patients to wait in ventilated areas, allowing the Free-Air Factor to neutralize possible infections. However, this is impractical for many reasons.

Filters capture 99% of particles in their membranes, but the air has to pass through these filters, and in the time between each movement of patients, only a small fraction of the air has been filtered. Not to mention that they do not act on surfaces, their noise, price, and subsequent filter handling.

However, PUROH definitively solves this problem with a different approach: air and surface purification technology based on the generation of this Free-Air Factor of nature with the generation of neutral hydroxyl radicals OH.

With a very small and economical device that emits a disinfectant radical reaction, PUROH achieves the elimination of the most frequent nosocomial pathogens in a healthcare environment. Studies have been completed demonstrating its effectiveness against coronavirus, rhinovirus, influenza, respiratory syncytial virus, bacteria, fungi, etc. It is also effective in neutralizing micro-particles and other pollutants (VOCs) from urban pollution or the use of chemicals, improving the ICA (Air Quality Index).

This reaction has been known for some time as effective and natural since it occurs regularly in the upper layers of the atmosphere in a natural process called Advanced Oxidation. PUROH achieves the generation of these radicals with an effective and harmless chain reaction using a hydrogen peroxide cartridge.

The technology already has the Medical Device certificate from the FDA and the EU.
