Grain, Feed, and Fodder Storage

In the storage of grains, legumes, cereals, etc., temperature and humidity control are common methods to aid in product preservation and contamination prevention.

Cooling and temperature control have a very high energy cost, while PUROH generates a chain reaction that extends through the air of the warehouses, eliminating pathogens and compounds that can corrupt the grain. Each grain as a living matter has its own characteristics, and its application must be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. The technology of PUROH is generated in modules that can be incorporated as coadjutants in cooling systems, reducing their flow requirements, and therefore their consumption.

It has a big difference from current disinfection methods. Unlike passive ventilation and filtration methods or chemical disinfection, PUROH is an active technology that is continuously acting as it is completely harmless to humans and does not leave toxic residues. It disinfects both the environment and product surfaces and work areas.

PUROH technology is based on the well-known Open-Air Factor principle that occurs in the upper layers of the atmosphere, called natural detergent. PUROH replicates this reaction in a device that lightly ozonates a peroxide cartridge and causes a chain reaction of neutral Hydroxyl Radicals OH·. This chain reaction propagates through the environment in different ways depending on the air currents and conditions of humidity and temperature.

On the one hand, the Open-Air Factor attacks the membrane of pathogenic microorganisms by denaturing their membrane, causing their elimination. Its effectiveness has been demonstrated and published on the main strains of pathogenic microorganisms: bacteria, viruses, and fungi by internationally accredited centers and laboratories.

Additionally, the radicals mineralize volatile organic compounds in four stages until they are converted into harmless substances such as oxygen, water, or soluble carbonates.
