All living microorganisms are composed mainly of carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen. Since PUROH inhibits them by destroying their outer membrane, microorganisms decompose into harmless organic substances such as carbon dioxide (the same gas we exhale when we breathe) and water. All of this is microscopic and unobservable by the human eye.
